چکیده
In this contribution, we show that the use of conditional measurements in resonant interaction two quantized electromagnetic fields gives rise to nonclassical multiphoton processes. Furthermore, demonstrate phenomenon may enable a robust integrated-optics protocol engineer quantum states containing high number photons, thus making it potentially appealing platform for exploring mesoscopic phenomena.

Calculations of Strong Field Multiphoton Processes in Alkali Metal Atoms
The development of a new class of laser systems, capable of producing intense radiation in the mid-infrared (MIR) regime (photon energies between 0.3 and 0.4 eV), opens the possibility of observing multiphoton processes in a new class of systems with lower ionization potentials than those previously studied. Of particular interest are the alkali metal atoms, which are true one-(valence)-electro...
متن کاملConditional Equilibrium Outcomes via Ascending Price Processes∗
A Walrasian equilibrium in an economy with non-identical indivisible items exists only for small classes of players’ valuations (mostly “gross substitutes” valuations), and may not generally exist even with decreasing marginal values. This paper studies a relaxed notion, “conditional equilibrium”, that requires individual rationality and “outward stability”, i.e., a player will not want to add ...
متن کاملMultiphoton double ionization via field-independent resonant excitation.
The double ionization of xenon in the multiphoton regime has been studied at two wavelengths (0.77 and 0.79 microm) using an electron-ion coincidence technique and an intensity binned ion ratio method. Sharp resonant structures in the electron energy distribution correlated with the doubly charged ion, as well as a wavelength dependence of the Xe(2+)/Xe(+) ratio provides new insights. A mechani...
متن کاملNumerical studies of the dynamics of multiphoton processes with arbitrary field polarization: Methodological considerations
We describe an approach of spectral type for numerically integrating the time-dependent Schrödinger equation associated to the interaction of a one active electron atom with an electromagnetic pulsed field whose polarization may be arbitrary. The wave function is represented on a Coulomb-Sturmian basis. The time propagation method is based on a parallel-iterated Runge-Kutta method of predictor-...
متن کاملPrediction for Max-Stable Processes via an Approximated Conditional Density
The dependence structure of a max-stable random vector is characterized by its spectral measure. Using only the spectral measure, we present a method for approximating the conditional density of an unobserved component of a max-stable random vector given the other components of the vector. The approximated conditional density can be used for prediction. Additionally, we present a new parametric...
